Internal Regulations (Annex 2)

1. Schedule.

1. 1.- Customers may access the Center and their «TAOBOX» storage unit 365 days a year, from 06:00 to 24:00 hours. The customer must always ensure that they leave the premises before 24:00 h.

2. Access.

2.1.- Access to the premises will be made by placing your vehicle or van in front of the access gate (the installation will detect your positioning). Then, the customer must make a missed call (to the phone number that will be provided at the time of signing the contract) from the mobile phone(s) provided by the customer for this purpose.

2.2.- Exit will be made in the same way as entry, but by placing yourself in the exit detection zone.

2.3.- The access gate to the premises will close automatically after a few seconds, both at entry and exit. For security reasons, the customer must ensure that the gate closes without allowing other people to access the premises.

2. 4.- From 24:00 to 06:00 hours, the access gate to the premises will be locked, so it cannot be opened by any customer. If any movement is detected within the premises during these hours, security protocols, alarms, mobile patrol rounds, video surveillance alarm center, police, etc. will be activated.

3. Access rules.

3.1.- Only authorized persons according to clause 4.1 of Annex 1 (General Conditions) may access the premises.

3.2.- The authorized vehicles to access and circulate through the premises are all light vehicles belonging to authorized persons. The access of trucks over 9 meters, 10T of weight, or 40 m3 of cargo capacity is strictly prohibited.

3. 3.- The access of any animal to the premises, whether wild or domestic, is prohibited.

*Warning: It will be strictly forbidden to access the premises at both entry and exit by taking advantage of another vehicle’s entry or exit. For security reasons, it is mandatory to position yourself in front of the access gate for proper vehicle detection and make the missed call to open the gate.

4. Initial access to your TAOBOX storage unit.

4.1.- You may access your Taobox storage unit 2 hours after making the full initial payment.

4.2.- Access to the storage unit must be done following the instructions explained at the time of signing the contract. It is prohibited to drive at speeds exceeding 20 km/hour throughout the premises, and you must respect the traffic signs installed around the perimeter, both for direction and prohibition or obligation.

4. 3.- You must always ensure that the access gate to the premises is completely closed to prevent unauthorized access. Under no circumstances can the access gate be blocked due to the risks involved.

5. Malfunctions, emergencies.

5.1.- In case of a malfunction of the access door to the premises or the access system, you must call the following telephone numbers:

Customer service phone: 93.010.74.46 (Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).

Emergency phone: indicated by the center 93.010.74.46 or 654.555.697 (Monday to Friday from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to midnight and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to midnight).

5. 2.- In case of forgetting your mobile phone to access the premises (authorized phone for access), the Customer may call the customer service phone 93.010.74.46 on working days from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Before any center worker can open the door for you, they will perform the necessary checks to facilitate your entry and exit (being up to date with payment and being one of the authorized persons for access in the contract).

Please note that there is no customer service office in the Centers, so you will have to call the indicated phone number.

6. Circulation and parking.

6.1. – For security reasons, the maximum speed limit in the entire center is 20 km/h.

6.2. – All traffic signs within the premises must be respected.

6.3. – You may only park your vehicle in front of your Taobox storage unit for loading and unloading, ensuring that other vehicles within the center can circulate freely.

6.4. – It is strictly prohibited to park your vehicle within the center outside of loading and unloading times. Any vehicle found parked in the center will be towed away, incurring the corresponding expenses and fines, as well as an internal penalty of €50.

7. No smoking.

7.1. – Smoking is completely prohibited throughout the premises, including your Taobox storage unit. It is also prohibited to litter cigarette butts or other objects.

8. Noise.

8.1. – During the loading and unloading of your belongings from your vehicle to your Taobox storage unit or vice versa, the car engine, music or radio must be turned off. Unnecessary noise inside your Taobox storage unit, other than what is strictly necessary for storing your belongings, is prohibited, with particular care to be taken during the night.

9. Your Taobox storage unit. (Use, maintenance, and return).

9.1. – Use. Your Taobox storage unit may only be used for the purposes indicated in the (Annex 1) General Conditions of the Contract, and must remain closed and clean at all times. Under no circumstances may the walls be reinforced, painted, or any object that may cause damage be fixed to them.

9.2. – Cleaning and management. Your Taobox storage unit will always be delivered clean and free of any objects, so the customer must return it in the same condition upon leaving or returning the unit. Any waste generated by the customer must be transported by the customer to a container using their own vehicle, as there are no containers available within the premises and no waste of any kind may be left or abandoned in the Center or on its sidewalks. The Center reserves the right to penalize customers who do not comply with this condition with waste management expenses of 50€.

9.2.1. Likewise, if the Customer returns the Taobox storage unit without completely emptying or cleaning it, they will be billed for management and cleaning expenses. These costs will be 25€ per cubic meter for the goods not removed, in addition to 25€ for the cleaning of the unit.

9.3. Return of the storage unit. At the end of the Contract, the Customer must return the unit completely free of objects, clean, and dry. (It is prohibited to clean the Taobox storage unit with an excessive level of water or with liquids that may leave moisture in the unit).

10. Closing of your Taobox storage unit.

10.1. Throughout the term of the Contract, only the high-security padlock provided by the Center may be used. The use of any other padlock or security system is prohibited. This right is reserved by the Center. The padlock will be placed under the protective steel box for greater security. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that their Taobox storage unit is correctly locked with the padlock indicated in this paragraph, even if they momentarily move away from it.

10.1.1. Normally, the Customer will have only one key for the padlock. The loss of a key will result in a charge of 50€ for changing the security padlock.

10.2. – Use of doors and storage units. Taobox storage units from the 7m2 model onwards normally have two doors, and the right-hand door should be opened first. It is recommended not to open the left-hand door unless strictly necessary to avoid potential difficulties in closing it. (Always make sure to close the left door completely before closing the right door). Ensure that the doors are properly closed to avoid accidental closure due to a gust of wind, which could cause injury to yourself or another customer, damage your vehicle, or damage the door. If you have any difficulty in closing your storage unit, you can call the customer service phone number.

11. Other means provided by the Center.

11.1. – The Center may provide and make available to customers, only for exclusive use within the Center, materials to facilitate the handling of pallets, heavy materials or ramps to improve access between their vehicle and their Taobox storage unit. These materials are the property of the Center. The customer can only use them, solely under their responsibility, releasing Taobox Center from any liability. Breakage or loss will be charged to the customer at the cost of replacement of a new one. The customer must follow the Center’s instructions for the use of these materials, safety, and repositioning in their place. (Availability is not guaranteed at any time).

1.1.1 – The Center may propose, on an exclusive rental basis, the materials mentioned in the previous paragraph (11.1) to certain customers, such as shelves, pallets, or other elements to use within their Taobox storage unit.

12. Security protocol.

In the event of any emergency, the customer must act according to the following steps:

1. Alert of the emergency: The first step is to sound the alarm or alert system so that everyone on the premises knows that there is an emergency and needs to evacuate. The alarm is located at the door of storage unit No. 2202, behind the office in the case of the Malgrat de Mar Center, and at storage unit No. 130, in front of the entrance gate in the case of the Les Franqueses del Vallés Center.

When the alarm is activated, it will send an alert to the company’s personnel and the alarm center, who will take the necessary actions, including reviewing cameras and calling emergency services if necessary to provide the location of the premises and details of the situation.

2. Contact TAOBOX: The second thing you should do is contact the company’s personnel so that they can instruct you on how to proceed and provide more details of what happened. You should only do these actions if you have already reached a safe location.

13. Evacuation protocol.

1. Evacuation plan: As soon as the emergency alarm sounds, you should stop whatever you were doing, not grab any belongings, and not close your storage unit if it was open. You should calmly and without running head to the designated meeting point/safety area, which is always located outside the premises to the right of the access gate.

2. Protection: The first and most important thing is for you to get to safety before helping others.

3. Secure the area: You should try to create a security perimeter so that other people are not harmed.

4. Contact: Call TAOBOX to make sure that the security and alarm systems have been activated correctly and emergency services have been notified.

TAOBOX will verify the camera recordings to ensure that no one is missing, trapped, or locked in a storage room.

Remember that safety is the highest priority in any emergency situation. Stay calm, follow the evacuation protocol, and prioritize your safety and that of others.

*In case of fire: there are several fire extinguishers throughout the area. Follow the instructions indicated on the extinguisher itself. Step 1: pull the ring to break the seal, step 2: press the lever and direct the jet at the base of the flames.
